The Arts Council has been in existence since the summer of 2007 and has been very successful. We are mainly focused in the Selinsgrove area at this time. The group's goal is to continue to grow and expand to encompass all of Snyder County.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Snyder County Arts Council is to sponser, encourage, and create opportunities for those who participate in and appreciate the visual and peforming arts.
It's not you making a difference and it's not me...It's all of us together.

Located approximately 50 miles north of Harrisburg in Selinsgrove, PA, the Snyder County Arts Council is becoming a major contributor to the cultural events happening in Snyder County. Our goal is to increase access to local artists by establishing a venue for showing the works of artists and artisans in the area, including writers and performing artists.
Our plans are to establish an art center that will provide artists, students, and patrons with a variety of educational opportunities.
Join us for this exciting adventure.
Focus on Kids
We have two special events for kids. We sponsor Youth Art Month in March. This event is an art show held in downtown Selinsgrove that highlights the talents of our school-age children. New this summer will be our Summer Art Camp held at Kids’ Grove in August. We feel these events will help to teach our children true appreciation of the arts for future generations.
Community Events…
We participate in community events including an Art Walk and Painted/Decorated Chair Contest held during the Selinsgrove Sidewalk Sales and Hops, Vines and Wines Festival in July. We are also involved in the Selinsgrove’s annual “Late Shopper’s Night” held the first Tuesday in December. Members have the opportunity to sell their items at the Hometown Harvest Farmer’s Market held every Saturday morning, weather permitting. The Arts Council has a permanent spot that is available free of charge to council members.
Are you a wonder in the kitchen, love to whip up special desserts? Get out that favorite recipe and share your talent for the dessart extravaganza! We are looking for a few good cooks to donate desserts and make this year's extravaganza as much of a success as last years! Contact us at snydercountyartscouncil@gmail.com to sign up.

A fundraiser that is sure to entice your sweet tooth! Enjoy a dessert table filled with homemade goodies, a mini art show and fantastice music performed by local artist, Karen Nogle.
Music has always been a part of Karen's life. She hails from Mifflinburg, PA and loved being involved with youth choir at church and many different events throughout school. After graduation she sang at weddings, entered a few contests and finally found herself performing on stage at summer shows and local fairs with Dean McNett and McNett Country. Most recently, Karen recorded her newest CD, No Stranger to Heartache, with some of the finest local musicians, including international recording artist, Tommy Cash.
Karen loves to sing because it brings her great joy! There are many emotions that can be discovered from one song and to be able to share that blessing with another is a tremendous gift to pass on. It's a terrific tool to lift your spirits, bring a smile to someone's face and helps you make friends wherever you go.
Being active with her family, in the community and her church is a great part of who she strives to be. She volunteers with Junior Achievement and enjoys trips to local elderly care centers to share her music and lots of smiles. The trust given to serve as a layperson is truly appreciated and Karen looks forward to the few times a year she can offer a message at Trinity United Church of Christ in Watsontown.
Karen now lives in Northumberland, PA with her extremely supportive husband, Mark, and they are the proud parents two fantastic sons, Cory and Bret. You can learn more about Karen on her website at www.karennogle.com
