The Arts Council has been in existence since the summer of 2007 and has been very successful. We are mainly focused in the Selinsgrove area at this time. The group's goal is to continue to grow and expand to encompass all of Snyder County.
The mission of the Snyder County Arts Council is to sponser, encourage, and create opportunities for those who participate in and appreciate the visual and peforming arts.
It's not you making a difference and it's not me...It's all of us together.

New this year, the Arts Council is sponsoring this event on Saturday, October 23. This is the weekend of Susquehanna's Home Coming and Selinsgrove's Downtown Trick or Treat event. Similar to the chair contest, artists and those who just like to have fun, can enter their scarecrow in the contest. The scarecrows will line Market Street and be judged by those visiting the downtown area. In addition area writers of children's books will be reading portions of their books and do book signings. The Hometown Harvest Farmers' Market will be open and offering a wide variety of fall fruit and vegetables as well as locally made handmade arts and crafts.

On Tuesday evening, December 7, this popular evening will highlight area artists and writers in various businesses on Market Street. Mark the date and look for more information in October.

The Susquehanna Writers group holds two monthly critique sessions and a Writers’ Workshop at the Country Cupboard in Lewisburg, Pa every October.
